And above all: what a final few months. Full of learning, sharing, and action for chimpanzees. Together with our partners, supporters, and curious children, we made an impact. We carry that momentum into 2026.

In this edition: From education to protection – it was a quarter full of meaning.
Limbe Wildlife Centre in Cameroon will soon be able to start nature workshops for entire communities that used to hunt wild animals. What are they doing now? You can read about it further on in the newsletter.
Meanwhile, in Sierra Leone, a new school year full of nature education is beginning in the remote Outamba-Kilimi National Park.
Our “Tenner for Tacugama” campaign during Giving Day for Apes generated wonderful engagement (and donations!) for three weeks. And as if that weren’t enough: the Tacugama rangers will now face the rainy season with brand-new rain suits.
Finally, we welcomed Daniel Seesink – speaker and behavioral biologist – as a new ambassador. An inspiring addition to our team of people who dedicate themselves heart and soul to chimpanzees.

In this edition: A memorable evening in London with none other than Jane Goodall and a beach clean-up in Cameroon. We visited Stichting AAP, celebrated Tacugama’s 30th anniversary and – thanks to a generous anonymous donation – we are expanding Tacugama’s nature education program to seven remote schools in Sierra Leone and three in Cameroon.
